Development Impact Fee

ESI assists municipal and county government officials interested in charging development impact fees. These fees are a justifiable way for new development to pay its own way, and therefore not place a disproportionate burden on existing public services, infrastructure and taxpayers. Development fees can be calculated for a variety of public services including: general government, public works, fire/emergency protection, police protection, parks/open space, libraries, community facilities, solid waste, streets/roads, storm drainage, water and wastewater. ESI develops custom studies for each of our clients where we consider all of the factors relevant to a practical and legally defensible development fee program.
