Falcon Field Employment Center Strategy Plan

ESI was hired by the city of Mesa to develop strategies to help the city enhance job creation efforts in the Falcon Field Employment Center. We performed a targeted industry analysis to identify the best targets for the city to pursue (aviation and non-aviation), performed a series of interviews and focus groups with interested parties in the region (including major employers, developers and landholders, airport businesses and pilots, and home owners associations in the region), and developed strategies to aid in business development in this part of the city. The study also included a number of tasks specifically for the airport itself, including an evaluation of the lease process and the development of a potential land use plan for Falcon Field Airport balances the needs of job creation and aviation activity. ESI worked with Coffman Associates on the land use plan for the airport.
